Tuesday, May 02, 2006 "Is that not normal?"
Picture the scene if you will. Ali and I are in the kitchen with Ali's mate Jack who has come to visit and brought his own teabags; last time he brought a kettle. I would like to stress that we have both a kettle and teabags at our house. But I digress, Ali and I were having a general discussion about what Ali could have for dinner. Somewhere in the middle of the discussion, Ali made a noise that was probably like an animal noise, I immitated it and we continued the discussion. This happens so many times in our house that no one notices anymore, whether it's made up words, animal noises or pretend French. However, Jack's response, stopping the conversation in its tracks was,
"What just happened?!"I think it's a perfectly acceptable form of communication. Ali and I are also testing out how long we can talk making general 'mmm' noises to conduct a conversation with each other but this is still in the early stages. Welcome to our madhouse; please come and visit.
