Because everyone needs a blog, apparently. Personally I think everyone needs a pair of Converses.

    Who Wins? You Decide!

It's that time again, when campus is awash with brightly coloured posters persuading you to vote for someone through use of a fun slogan, when there are random boxes and a cardboard house and people constantly trying to persuade you to vote for their candidate. Yep, it's guild Executive Elections time again.
In first year I voted, in second year I went to the library and when I came out, voting had closed. This year GTV has been interviewing candidates, I haven't been able to make any of the interviews, but since I plan on attending the elections on Saturday night, I thought I'd better vote. That and the fact that Mike kept coming down to GTV to remind us to vote.
Upon approaching the table I discovered that once you voted, you got a badge saying that you had. I'm always a sucker for badges so I was quite pleased to discover this; plus I thought it meant that people canvassing for votes would be able to tell you had voted and consequently leave you alone, so it was quite clever.
I had to go to the library to give Lucy and Kirst a tape and to do this, I would have to make my way past the colourful banners and people yelling in an attempt to persuade everyone to vote for their candidate. It's ok, I thought, I have my trusty badge, so iPod firmly in ears, I strode towards the library...
    "Have you voted?"
Right, so the badges don't, in fact, work.
