I learnt a new word today. Tmesis. It is basically where you insert one word in the middle of another, like, for instance, abso-bloody-lutely. However, it's probably not a good word to use in describing games. I was listening to Chappers and Dave on Radio 1 this morning and they along with their Producer Neil and Assistant Producer Becky had written down a word on a piece of paper. Then Dave had to pick a piece of paper and describe the word to a caller who had to guess. Of course Dave didn't have a clue what the word meant and consequently couldn't describe it short of spelling it out. The problem is tmesis doesn't fit into sentences easily so I shall have to carry on pondering how to casually insert said word into conversation and sound clever*.
